By role
12 agencies in the directory say they recruit science teachers for international schools, including FlyTeachers, Alliance Recruitment Agency and Educators Overseas.
Science hiring abroad splits along the line between combined science and separate subjects. A school that teaches physics, chemistry and biology as separate A level or Diploma courses wants specialists. A smaller school may want one person who can teach all three to a younger age group.
Your honest account of what you can teach, and to what level, will do more than any generic CV line.
Say whether you are a biologist who has taught physics at key stage 3, or a physicist who can cover chemistry up to a given age. Agencies shortlist against a school's timetable, and a clear statement saves a round of emails.
The practical side counts too. Ask about laboratory provision, technician support and whether practical assessment is run by the school.
Those entering primary-age teaching through iQTS need a science qualification of GCSE grade 4 standard in addition to maths, according to the Department for Education. The route covers pupils aged 5 to 11 or 11 to 18 and includes at least 24 weeks of school experience in your own country.
Fees listed on the Get Into Teaching site run from 7,950 to 9,950 pounds for a nine-month course, with no DfE or Student Finance England support for iQTS students.
Schools accredited as British Schools Overseas must show they meet standards that GOV.UK says are comparable with those for independent schools in England. A published inspection report is available for each, so you can read what inspectors said about teaching and facilities before you accept an offer.

Not in every school. Larger secondary schools hire specialists, smaller schools often want breadth. Ask the agency which applies.
Often, although each school decides. Be ready to discuss how you would adapt practical assessment and content to the specification.
If it is accredited as a British School Overseas, the latest inspection report is published by the Department for Education. Otherwise ask for a virtual tour.
